There are so many remains of Admiral Lee Sun Shin scattered in the south sea, as he commended the battles both in Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do. Wherever Admiral Lee had a battle, there are his remains such as memorial halls and shrines. Jindo, Hanam, Yeosy, Geoje, Tongyeong are among them. Besides Jeseungdang, Tongyeong has [Chungryeolsa], a shrine to worship Chungmugong, and [Chakryangmyo], a place to enshrine memorial tablets and to give a ritual.
The 1km coastal way from the entrance of Jeseungdang is good to walk with a pine tree forest and the sea on either side. Oyster shells are scattered on the coast showing there is a lot of oyster cultivation. Besides the main building, Suru, Hansanjeong and Chungmusa are situated in Jeseungdang. There are also a miniature of the turtle ship(contracted by 1/25), various weapons and a big plaque of Jeseungdang displayed. On the left of Jeseungdang stand a monument and a pavilion. The monument was built to memorize the high-rank officials among Admiral Lee's descendents. Suru is well known for the Admiral Lee's patriotic poet. The sea seen from Suru looks like a lake rather than the sea.

On the right of Jeseungdang stand "Hansanjeong" and "Chungmusa". Chungmusa is a shrine to worship the portrait of Admiral Lee. At the entrance of Chungmusa stand three monuments, on which are inscribed Admiral Lee's accomplishment and the significance of Jeseungdang.
