Korean Visa / Immigration Process / Requisites for Immigration

- If you want to visit Korea, you must have a valid passport and a Korean visa.
- One who possesses a ticket to Korea can enter Korea whithout a Korean visa for a stay of up to 15 days, if their purpose of visit is touring or in transit.
- If you want to stay more than 30 days, you must obtain a Korean visa.
- Nationals of visa waiver countries can enter Korea without a Korean visa, if the purpose of their visit is touring or visiting. they are not allowed to engage in remunerative activities.
- Canaian citizens can enter Korea without a Korean visa for a stay of up to 6 months.
- Australian citizens can enter Korea without a Korean visa for a stay of up to 90 days.
- 29 nationals have prohibitionn of entry without a Korea visa and nationals of cuba, Macedonia can not enter Korea without a Korean visa.
- The above 29 nationals can enter Korea ofr a stay of up to 15 days when holding a visa or a re-entry permit or the right of permanent residence in the U.S. and plan to travel to a 3rd country via Korea.
- One who possesses a re-entry permit to the U.S. can enter Korea whthout a Korea visa.
- Chines industrial trainess or Chinese woman married to Koreans can attain a Korea visa at the immigration office.(relative visiting is excluded from the issuing or a visa. these can apply for a Korea visa at the corresponding embassies and legtions abroad. these should hold an available passport or a seaman's pocket ledger, and should not be one of entry exclusion or prohibition.)
- The activities in Korea should correspond to the status of the visa by the immigration contral law.
- The type of visa, status of stay, and the period should correspond with the law of the ministry of justice.
- Nationals of visa exemption countries can enter Korea without a Korea visa according to the visa exemption agreement.
- Nationals of countries authorized by the ministy of justice can enter Korea without a Korea visa, if the purpose of their visit is touring within 15 days or in transit.
