Bugok Hot Spring
This Hot Spring was named 'Bugok', meaning a big pot, as this area shapes like a big iron pot. Dongguk Yeoji Seungram has a record that there is a hot spa in this place, so it was also called 'Onjeong' meaning 'a warm well'.
The owner of Bugok Hot Spring Sin Hyeon Taek first found this hot spring in 1973. With 6,000 tons of 78 hot water everyday, the Hot Spring is the biggest sulfur spring in Korea. The water had efficacy to cure breathe disease and skin disease as it contains 20 more inorganic matter such as silicon, chlorine, calcium and irons as well as sulfur.
This place make a big Hot Spring Compound equipped with accommodations and convenient facilities. Among them Bugok Hawaii is facilitated with a big public bath, indoor and outdoor pools, botanical garden and zoo.

Saryangdo Island
Saryangdo under the administration of Tongyeong-si is located in the midst of Hoallyeo Maritime National Park. It consists of three islands : upper island, lower island and Suyado island 1.5km apart. In the upper island live 2,192 residents of 1,011 families.
Saryangdo is frequented with 200,000 tourists a year and 5,000 visitors on weekend enjoying climbing and fishing. The upper island is popular among climbers and sea bathers and the lower island is visited by fishermen. The mountain in the upper island is called Jirimangsan with a nickname of 'Saryangdo Jirisan.' The 6.5km climbing course ranging Mt.Jirisan(398km), Mt.Bulmosan(399m)and Oknyeobong Peak(291m) take about 4.5 hours.
After passing steep cliffes, walking on the single rope, climbing up the ladder, and iron steps, climbers face cozy islets floating on the blue south sea on both sides of Jirisan mountain ridge.
