| Description | The festival is held to celebrate Admiral Lee Sun Sin's victory at the sea of Hansando Island and to worship his patriotic spirit in Sebyeongwan, Chungryeolsa, Jeseungdang, and Nammangsan of Tongyeong. The festival begins with lighting festival flame and firing salutes. The festival consists of military events, cultural events and other special events. The military evens include a naval review of soldiers and military ships and a parade of Tongjesa(old admiral). the cultural event includes contest of writing poems, painting, taking pictures of Daecheop festival and the exhibit of Lee Cungmugong remains. Other special events include masquerade, marine game match(sailing and oaring), flying lanterns, and floating lanterns, which used as a military signal during the Japanese invasion, Imjinwaeran. |
