| Description | Sancheong is where the renowned Oriental medicine doctor Yu Euitae and his fellow Heo Jun, who wrote Dongeubogam, served their medical treatment in the Joseon Dynasty. Thanks to the quality and efficacy of the medicinal herbs growing here around Jirisan, Sancheong is known as the home of the medicinal herbs. With this geological and historical background, Sancheong holds the festival full of medicinal herbal fragrance in May. The festival provides tourists the opportunity to experience the wonderful efficacy of the medicinal herbs, to receive free Oriental medical diagnosis as well as to sample foods made from medicinal herbs. and to buy other herbal stuffs |
