| Description | Jinhae Gunhangje Festival(Cherry Blossom Festival) takes place for 10 days from the end of March to the beginning of April, when cherry trees are in full blossoms in Jinhae. The festival originated from the first worship for Admiral Lee on April 13. 1952, when people established the statue of Admiral Lee Chungmugong at the Bukwon rotary. The festival has been held annually since 1963 to honor Chungmugong's high spirit of patriotism and promote local cultural arts. It developed to the spring festival to enjoy a variety of culture and art events, performances, Paldo Pungmul market with beautiful cherry blossoms. The festival with its 40 years history has developed year by year, and today it numbers more than a million domestic and foreign visitors as a national festival. |
